Our architecture team boasts extensive capabilities, adept at tackling diverse design challenges with ingenuity and precision. Each member brings unique perspective, collaborating seamlessly to craft solutions that are not only functional but also imbued with innovation. From conceptualization to realization, our team approach ensures that every project receives meticulous attention.

In circa 1990, our founder, Shri S.A. Kharche, was honored with the Excellence in Architecture award by the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Hon. Bhishma Narain Singh.

In 1965, S. A. Kharche set up the Madras regional office of M/s. Master Sathe & Kothari, one of the leading architecture design studios of India. He was unique in his concepts and had a very simplistic approach towards design elements. Under his stoic leadership, the office handled many Institutional, Industrial, Commercial and Residential buildings. But it was not until 1979 that the office started functioning solely as an emissary to his concepts: Kharche & Associates was born.

The new firm, while maintaining tradition, explored new directions in planning and construction and is still doing so earnestly. The firm is constituted of three main operative sections; architectural, engineering / allied engineering and administration, comprising talented designers and qualified engineers along with consultants in all related fields; structures; interiors; acoustics, electrical, air-conditioning and landscaping.

Chief Architect & Planner

Prashanth S. Kharche is the Chief Architect & Planner of one of South India’s leading architectural firms “Kharche & Associates”. Through his implementation of a modern design paradigm, he has designed a number of large scale commercial, IT/ITES, Hospitality, Residential and Institutional projects in India.

His prior experience includes the designing and execution of architectural and engineering projects for clients such as Godrej Properties Ltd., DLF Universal, ETA Star Properties, HCL, Tata Consultancy Services, Marg Limited, VGN, Britannia, Raymond’s, Apollo Tyres, Chaitanya Builders, Vishranthi, etc. just to name a few. His firm is the recipient of the “Excellence in Architecture” award from the Governor of Tamil Nadu (2001).
